My name is Esther Ogunmefun, also known as Galaxy Beauty. Though I hold a Master's Degree in Accounting from the prestigious Robert H. Smith School of Business in Maryland, my true passion has always been in the beauty industry. Even during my college years, getting my hair done was a form of self-expression and empowerment. I've always believed that a woman's beauty begins with her hair — it's her crown, her confidence, and her signature.
In 2010, after relocating to the United States with my family, I embraced the role of a stay-at-home mom to my two beautiful children. But in May 2012, everything changed. I came across a TV commercial about becoming a licensed cosmetologist in just nine months — and immediately, something clicked. It was the perfect opportunity to transform my passion into a profession.
